Christian Growth Institute

Starting Sunday September 7th 2014, 9-10am.

Be transformed by the renewal of your mind Rom 12:2a

Christian Growth Institute is a collection of classes and curriculum designed to instruct and disciple Christians at differing levels of interest and maturity. Not everyone has the same shoe size but everyone wears shoes. In like manner, every Christian is clearly admonished to grow in the faith regardless whether they are new or more experienced.

I Peter 2:2 "Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk that by it you may grow up into salvation"

Therefore Christian Growth Institute has been developed to offer a range of classes for those still learning the basics to those more seasoned in Christ.

They are:

Bible Class: The Revelation of St. John

Sept. 7 - April 2015

Leader: Dr. Bellamy

Location: Fellowship Hall

The Apostle John writes in his opening paragraph: "Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near." So begins the Book of Revelation, with a promise we cannot ignore, one that should excite us with Anticipation. Bring your Bible and let's plunge into this fascinating book to discover treasures that we may not have expected to find. It is here that God reveals to John how the Kingdom of God will be brought to completion.

Christian Living Class: Unnoticed Idols

Sept. 7 -Oct. 5, 2014

Leader: Andy Black

Location: Family Life Center

Idol worship seems like something so foreign to us. We can't imagine bowing down to a rock or a piece of wood. But how many of us unwittingly turn parts of our lives over to other things without even realizing it? Come have coffee, sit with us at the round tables and join in!

Christian Foundations Class: What the Bible is all about.

Sept. 7 - Dec. 14, 2014

Leader: David Field and team

Location: Choir Room

Usually it is a good idea to get a little training when using a tool - so Christians can also benefit from training on the Bible. Have you ever had any of these questions? What is the origin of the Bible? How do you read the Bible? Can it be trusted? What are the guidelines for interpreting the Bible? In this class you will answer those questions and be much more comfortable with and confident in the Bible.

Coffee and snacks served in all locations.

Faith Friends will be restarting at the same date. Nursery provided for children Birth to 3 years.

Look forward to seeing you at Christian Growth Institute!

We are now accepting applications for our Adult Level One Mission project to Wycliffe Bible Transl;ators and Orlando Children's Church. This one-weekend mission trip  (September 5-7) will include something for everyone!  You may download an application form here.

The team will have the opportunity to learn about the amazing work done by Wycliffe Bible Translators and will be staying at the lovely apartments on the Wycliffe campus in Orlando. On Saturday, the team will split and do two separate projects. One group will remain at Wycliffe and do a variety of work projects at their facility. The other half of the group will  travel to the Orlando Children's Church ministry to work with many inner city children who are bused to the ministry every Saturday morning. A work project will follow in the afternoon at that location.

As with all mission trips, the team will enjoy times of fellowship, worship and devotions.

If you have wanted to do a mission trip but were a bit hesitant to jump in, this is the REAL trip for you! Something for everyone!
