Christian Growth Institute

Christian Growth Institute is a collection of classes and curriculum designed to instruct and disciple Christians at differing levels of interest and maturity. Not everyone has the same shoe size but everyone wears shoes. In like manner, every Christian is clearly admonished to grow in the faith regardless whether they are new or more experienced.

Christian Living Class

Future Grace: The Purifying Power of the Promises of God by John Piper

Teacher: Paul Watler

Dates: February 19, 2017

Location and time: Gym.  Sundays at 9AM

In this DVD version of his foundational book Future Grace, John Piper reveals how the journey to freedom in the Christian life requires a deeper awareness of the expansive reach of God and his extraordinary grace.
Victory over sin comes not from a herculean effort to avoid worldly pleasures, but through fixing one's focus on the reality that God is far more desirable than even life itself. It is a reorientation of desire. His grace is not only past, but future.

Dates: January 8 to March 12, 2017

Location and time: Fellowship Hall. Sundays at 9AM

Near the beginning of any good novel something is introduced that gets the reader's attention.  Moses, the author of Genesis, doesn't waste any time pulling the reader into the drama of mankind's evolving relationship with whom is identified as creator and covenant maker.  There is some big stuff that occurs between God and newly created man which remains part of mankind's story today.

Brace yourself for some challenging discussion and to expand your view of God and the world he created of which we are privileged to participate.  We'll look at major doctrinal themes that surface in Genesis and two classes are dedicated to some scientific perspectives on creation and the flood.

Everyone is invited.  If you love reading; if you love figuring out plots; if you are curious about God's work with man then consider joining us.
