What to Expect Sunday Morning (10:30 am)

What is like to visit a church for the first time?  For most of us, it can be a little difficult to know where to go and what to do!

We hope that this page will be of help when you visit us for the first time.

Faith Church is located at the corner of Mondon Hill Road and US 41, just north of Brooksville. Click Here for directions. Our address is Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 200 Mount Fair Avenue, Brooksville, 34601.

Parking  We have plenty of parking in the front and additional spaces in the back, behind the fellowship hall. Our church is handicap-accessible.

What happens when I arrive?  There are a couple of ways to enter the building. The main entry is through the glass doors at the front of the building near the front parking lot and opens into the worship center lobby. There are also doors on each side of the building. The south doorway leads to the south parking lot. The north entry leads to the church office and nursery.

What about the Kids?  We consider every child a blessing and promise from the Lord. Because we want every child to experience the love of Jesus Christ, we provide a comfortable environment so that each child may learn and feel loved.

A nursery and children's church* are available for the younger children during our worship services. *Children's Church meets the second, third, and fourth Sunday of every month.

How should I dress?  We do not have a dress code. Some people come to church wearing wear their best clothes, like a dress or a suit and tie. Others are dressed more casually, shirt and slacks or jeans. Either way is pleasing to God.

"For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart."
1 Samuel 16:7

What is the Worship Service like?  Our goal is for each service to be joyful and meaningful as you seek to meet and honor God through worship. We meet in the worship center at 10:30 Sunday morning and 6:00pm Wednesday night. You may sit anywhere.

Sunday worship us
ually lasts about an hour and a half. Someone will hand you a bulletin with the week's announcements and a program for the day's service.

Our worship services are best described as blended, with lots of singing and prayer. We love to praise God through music, so we sing both contemporary praise songs and traditional hymns, and often enjoy special selections from our excellent choir and accomplished musicians. As for style, we believe that how you worship is between you and God. Some congregants quietly meditate, while others sing openly with hands raised.

You'll hear a sermon from one of our pastors, Matthew Everhard or David Franklin. We think you'll find the messages encouraging, relevant, and challenging. If you have a personal Bible you will probably want to bring it to follow along. We are currently using the ESV, but other translations are appreciated. We also have Bibles (ESV) available in the pews.

We normally collect an offering during the service. If you are visiting, please do not feel pressured to give. You are our guest, and we want your giving to be a joyful part of worship when you are ready. Instead, please fill out the information card, and turn it in after the service so that we can welcome you.

Thanks for visiting this page. We look forward to seeing you soon!
